Here we are at the end of the semester with only days left, and I haven’t yet put up the third project from graphic design class. I can’t feel to bad because the teacher hasn’t handed them back yet graded. The triangle piece was the item turned in, this did not stay 2d this was made into a 3d triangle object. This wasn’t exactly a challenging project, it just got my mind thinking in a different way. The cylinder down at the button was a runner up for this project, but it would have been harder to construct and I was taken more with the triangle form.

Here are the instructions the class used:

Use either a cylinder, rectangle or triangle in a 3d manner.
Must use words or phrases.
Must have some opposing aspect to composition whether it be with the object or text.
Must use 3 pantone colors, able to use screens and the color white.

This is project 2 for graphic design, I’m running a bit behind on updating you on my projects. I’ll put up the third project soon. As you can tell this one is still with I’m still working with the tomatillo, I’ve gotten pretty close to the tomatillo, all my projects have to deal with it. Here is the project description:

Panel A: object w/ text where the text is more hierarchical than the object
Panel B: object w/ text where the object is more hierarchical than the text
Panel C: object in a composition with 3 pantone colors

I actually pretty happy with how this came out, I liked messing with the text and the object. Enjoy!

This site is all about instructions, just like the how to books that my dad has. They have step by step instructions for everything from cooking cakes to electronics to making a business card with mints (??), well you get the idea.

One of the project that caught my interest was the inverted bookshelf, it such an imaginative way to use a self. This way will give your walls a new look and impress your friends and family. I suggest if you are a girl to use a different kind of self, or at least paint it, and use a more decorative bracket. I was also thinking if there was any possible way to make the top of the shelf hold books too. Living in a studio has made me want to utilize all the space in the best way possible. It looks like you can add some nick-naks on top, at least.

The last day of instruction is Wednesday and then I get to wait for a final a week and a day afterward. Much to be done, and lots of food for class potlucks to be had.

For photo I have finished my final porject (worth 30 % of final grade) I am opping that foto express will print everything ok. I’m getting them 11x17in and mounted on foam core, which is going to cost me almost $100 so I better get an A in the class!

The most stressfull and pressing class is casting, I’m afaid that I’m not going to get everything done! I’m to class 6 hours early to solder all of my bronze pieces (never done before) and to figure out how I want to patina/finish it. On the bright side I fianlly finished my first project in this class last Thursday, it has hinges- those are tricky bastards!

As for FANIME- 11 days and counting, I just need my costume to get here so that I can put everything together and make sure it all works. I do need to figure out how I want to do my finger and toe nails (black with a yellow arrow) but that just requires experimenting 0_O The wig i have is green, so that need to be fixed by a simple sharpoe dieing-not so simple, its very messing and can be frustrating, and its not turing the color i want which is yellow!
