Fanime came and went. . .

bigfanime6

This year it felt really long since we live in San Jose now, we have never been able to be there all days- just the weekend. It has grown so much in the year that we missed. What happened??? Well its good for fanime at least, to keep it going. There were a ton of “glomp me” people, they basically had a gathering just for themselves all weekend by the dealers hall /sigh.

This was my first time cosplaying and it was a lot of work and preparation just to wear it for less than a day, and way too much money was spend for cosplaying too =( We all had problems with our wigs besides KC (i think) I eventually had to by hair extensions at the last moment, which coast a hecka lot! I had problems with the wig I bought on eBay, I should have not touched it!  I dyed it with yellow sharpie which made the green stand out, then I tried painting it with acrylic paint, which seemed to work until I got to the twist part (turned into a big ratty mess).  This also made everything in the bathroom turn yellow, including my hands and arms making me look like I had jaundice. So as for the original wig it has been thrown in the trash to never be seen again . . .ever! Since I got hair extensions I needed my real hair to be the same color so I dyed it twice in the same day fearing that my hair will fall out to get it to close to the right color. The red wants to stay in my hair, its so stubborn hehehe. So now I am bleach blond, I haven’t had this hair color since I was 5!

Remember when I cleaned the apartment after finals? Well I got worse for fanime! Now it is clean up and sleep time. I think the dishes were the worse part, as always, but now that is over and done with =) Right now the bathroom,  kitchen and the area we call “hallway” looks the best, now we just need to work on our own sections of the “main room”.

Now I’m off to go kill my wig with fire…

I like the group shot at the end…we make such a good group. Yes, cosplaying is expensive (I counted, and over the years I’ve accumulated 6 cosplay outfits…wow), but it can be fun.

No idea on what I want to do next year though…

I know what IM doing next year. I’ll be cosplaying as Mayuri from bleach. Now that I have money, I can dress up as my favorite character from Bleach!!! Who’s gonna join me? I’ll be getting it ready six months before fanime 2010.
